Blizz games have never been requireing a good CPU or something like that and you can play 7 other players with out any kind of lag. SupCom doesn't have good enough gameplay and the requirements for playing the game are just TOO BIG. None of the blizz games has ever been focused on graphics but more on gameplay which is by far more important. The graphics aren't awesome but I believe most SC fans don't bother. Of course it doesn't have this strategic thing as SupCom but SupCom will never be the ideal RTS game as SC. SC in 3D is also enough for most SC gamers in the world, SC is still by far the best RTS game made ever. I'm sure there are going to be a race about who is the best (EU and USA will probably have some few good players who can compete with the top Koreans but still good SC players will have an advantage) and I'm sure there will be tournaments nearly after it has been released and the big prices will be a year after. Why wouldn't the pros play SC2? I'm sure they will since they are playing SC every day and then why shouldn't they play the sequel too. the only difficulty for blizz is to make it as good as the original But is it better than SupCom? Heck if I know, is a light bulb better than a chair?Īt last they have made SC 2 when it releases I'll stop playing this game with max 1000 players online a day.

What I want to do with SC2 is just relax in front of my pc one evening with a cup of cocoa, watch the cut scenes, gfx and enjoy the storyline so bring on the SC2 goodness I say. As for me, after getting pwned by a Blademaster and a bunch of shamans casting bloodlust on the BM and each other I lost all stomach for multiplayer Warcraft(and other clickfests) but I am a simple creature with simple needs.

But if anything Blizzard have proven they know how to please the masses so I don't expect this will backfire. As far as I understood many people don't even want anything new except better graphics since the game is "perfect" as it is. It's after they've played it that I don't know what'll happen.

Somehow I don't think pros will say "Meh, don't wanna have to learn a "new game" and the casuals will think it's too repetitive and lacking "new stuff". Every chocolate cake, no matter how different, has to have one ingredient and that's the freakin' chocolate! Would you really want to play Starcraft without marines, zealots or zerglings? They did add new units/abilities for all races so it's a nice balance between nostalgia and "innovation" (I am aware that innovation doesn't pertain just to new units, that's why I used "" ). Of course they copy/pasted a lot of units. Resulting in a split of the community, even two years after the release of CS:S still more clans and players play the original CS, because in there eyes its 'bettter' (read: they dont want to learn CS:S)ĮSports need sponsoring, yet the Companys that actualy do the sponsoring are often Hardware companys and be honest, do you want to sponsor a team that plays a game modern Mobile phones can display, with up-to-date hardware? It was the same with CS and CS:S, the casual gamer was pissed because in his eyes it was CS with better looks, and the 'pros' where pissed that there weapons dident spit there bullets at the same place anymore. Yet, to mutch inovation for the eSports (it feels so diffrent! my mind cant bear it(and i have to learn it again -bha-)) To less inovation for the casual gamer (why shoud i play a game that just looks a tad better then SC1?) Also, I read IGN's article, and it seems like SC2 is pretty uch the original with pretty gfx and a couple new abilities. It does seem like micro heaven, but the original starcraft was awesome, and Blizzard does have some gems.
